About Surviving Adventures

OUR STORY:

“Surviving Adventures,” the term, can be broken into two parts.

  1. sur·viv·ing verb to get along or remain healthy, happy, and unaffected despite some occurrence:
  2. ad·ven·ture noun an exciting or very unusual experience. Participation in exciting undertakings or enterprises: verb engages in a hazardous and exciting activity, especially exploring unknown territory.

Let me introduce my family: Mary, her mother Maria, Gabriel making “that” face, Lillian being cute, and my name is David. If you want to learn more, click here.

This blog documents our path through life and how we survive these adventures that I keep getting us into, such as packing up the family and moving from TX to WA to South Korea to Pennsylvania to Alaska to Washington, DC, or starting business after business. This is our take on what life can be and chasing it down. Whether it be travel, things we use daily, or improving the home. Surviving Adventures hopes to encourage readers to learn, get inspiration, and go and do.

Our posts are on a variety of topics such as travel, products we love, great food, improving the home, parenting, finances, career, management/leadership, Veteran interests, basically anything that involves our daily lives.

Life is the ultimate adventure, and making mistakes is to be expected. It’s what you learn from those mistakes that genuinely matters.

"We don't make mistakes, just happy little accidents."

If you have anything that you want us to discuss or you have questions about, please don’t hesitate to reach out and let us know. Thank you very much for taking the time to visit our site. We hope to have you here often.

Sincerely,

David Hartshorn
