Tuesday: Kayaking Theme Park

Surviving Adventures - Family, Career, & Adventure | 4 Days in Jeju, South Korea ~ Day 4 1

Tuesday afternoon, we would be flying back to Seoul from Jeju. There were still so many things that we wanted to do but only a limited time to do anything and still make it back to the airport for our flight.

David had seen something about a kayaking theme park that he was bound and determined to find. I personally thought we were just driving around still unsure of what we were going to do, so I was surprised when we stopped at this park. This ‘theme’ park again seemed pretty promising from the map, and the description as well as the first impression you get when you enter. Unfortunately, the best and only attraction worth mentioning is the kayaking portion of this park.

There is a maze that we (the kids and I) were pretty excited to get to, which was made up of a trail with pathetic shin-high bushes. If the bushes were actually a decent height, the maze would have been nice because it covered a fairly large space.

I cannot remember the name, nor can I find any mention of it on the web. Needless to say, despite taking the time to explore the whole area after the kayaking portion, we were done with this park in less than an hour.

Folk Village & Cave

Surviving Adventures - Family, Career, & Adventure | 4 Days in Jeju, South Korea ~ Day 4 3

Hallim Park was a very last-minute plan, to see just ONE more thing. The only problem with this is that we did not realize how much there is to do or see at this park! This place is pretty big, so big that we rushed through everything and completely bypassed the Folk Village because we just did not have enough time. Since we had already seen the Manjanggul Cave the day before, the little caves here were not as interesting to us. David still took the longest since he kept stopping for pictures, but I was more focused on leaving so that we would not miss our flight home.

As it was, after leaving the park and rushing back to drop off our rental, we made it just in time to catch the bus then check-in for our flight! Whew! We Survived another Adventure! If you liked hearing about our Jeju trip, maybe you would like to check out our catfishing trip, or our trip to the Philippines where we swam with whale sharks? We did so much in such a short amount of time there and had so much fun!
